Just got this Dilbert comic strip from a friend of mine… pokes fun to highlight the importance of IT auditing and compliance reporting.

Last week, I was out to Bangalore, India …and during the weekend I went to visit my close friends and family at Chennai.  Here is the fun….  I did’nt miss to flash at the Arrivals at Chennai Domestic Airport.

Another winter storm hit us yesterday… this time we had up to 12″ of snow – My back hurts after blowing and shoveling up my huge driveway.  This week supposed to be the most busiest Christmas shopping day, but this storm may put another dent on already slagging retail sales !

Last week, one of my friend attended Web 2.0 conference at Boston…who came back with this hilarious story.  One of the presentation he attended was all about how to gain and retain Web customers  (interesting preso..delivered by FatWire CEO) – towards the end of the presentation, the CEO wanted to drag the attention of the audience showing a “way” cool commercial for analyzing Web statistics. To his bad luck, the demo called to pull statistics from an adult Web site…”Playboy’s Cyber XXX”.   You may guess the rest of the story now….ofcourse it was a bit offensive to many of the audience and raised some heated conversations.

Not sure, where and what went wrong ? What poisoned the demo ? Is it due to an XSS attack or HTTP response spiliting or intentional half-naked packaging in hopes to hook the attendees   For those curious….here is the tail bit of story.

More often, I feel that I am not hooked to anything but here is some proof that I am addicted to something ~76%.   That’s interesting !

Finally, I had some time to play with WordPress 2.6.5…and did have success with importing those old stuff to new Sun MySQL database and the themes/customizations (the PHP scripts were too old so i ended up doing wild guess then hack)….to make it run on WordPress 2.6.5 -  it works ! Editing those messed up PHPs was an interesting experience. Still I have so much old stuff…am trying my best to migrate in to this new site soon. If it did’nt work, I will blame it on those RSS or whatever standards that supposed to take care of these issues.
